RWAR – Roma Women Association in Romania , is an NGO, apolitical founded on 04 September 1996 with P.J. 164/1996 and modified according to that status with P.J. 142/2008 .Included at Association and Foundation Register according Certification nr. 56 / 20.06.2008. The Mission of RWAR, is focused on the development and affirmation of the Roma community in specially for Roma Women from Romania through activities and projects for social policies on the benefit for Roma minority with emphasis in the development of the quality of life for the Roma women from Romania.
The main objectives
Community development of Roma community and Process Development, in the context of civil right social , politic and economic . Development of the relation for cooperation and partnership with private , public ,national and international association with specialization in research and implementation the social project for Roma.

1. Literacy-programs for children and for young roma (boys and girls)

3. Tailoring training for traditional roma women with financier programmer

5. Mediator Sanitary Training for 20 young roma (girls and boys)
6. "Women's Newsletter" : RWAR published the first issue of its newsletter in October 1998. Through this newsletter, we wish to raise awareness and support among national and international institutions and organizations for the programs and activities benefiting the Roma women, children and communities in Romania.
7. “Roma Women can do it” : Preventing and combating discrimination and elimination of gender stereotypes . Scope: To promote principles and values of a real democracy, develop seminars, awareness and information campaigns on the role of diversity in the development process of an organization and of the society at large.
8. "European Roma Women Organization Budget" - ongoing meetings with representatives of the Roma communities from Central and Eastern Europe for the purpose of setting up the Roma Women Eastern European Organization. We held meetings with Roma women's groups from Croatia, Bulgaria and Macedonia and will be meeting with Roma women from Hungary as well. A multi-national meeting is scheduled in Bucharest to coincide with the launch of the new Roma Women's website and with the membership in the Stability Pact of the Organization for Security in Central Europe (OSCE).

Role in the project: The main role of RWAR is going to be the coordination of WP3 regarding the Organization of training workshops for teachers of Roma children. In the framework of this role, it will participate in the training of trainers’ workshop, provide practical guidelines for the organization of the training of the teachers, select the teachers that are going to be trained in Romania, organize the training of the teachers in Romania, write the training Report for Romania and write the comparative training report for all the partner countries. Also, RWAR will perform the research for Romania and will monitor the implementation of the piloting in Romania. It will also participate actively in all the activities regarding evaluation, dissemination and sustainability of the project.
Operational and Financial Management: Two project managers will be appointed for the management of the project. One will be responsible for the operational aspects of the project and the other will be responsible for the administrative and financial aspects. Inside the organization, working groups will be created according to the tasks of the project.
